Obituary of Grace Maniscalco

Grace K. (DiZenzo) Maniscalco, 81, of Branford passed away peacefully on August 14, 2023 at Apple Rehab in East Haven with her family by her side. She was born November 15, 1941 in Bridgeport to the late Louis and Kathryn (Scielzo) DiZenzo. Grace is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Taddeo Maniscalco and their three devoted children; Ted Maniscalco (Carolyne) of East Haven, Karen Barthel (William) of East Haven and Lori Malafronte (Stephen) of Branford. She is also survived by her six grandchildren she adored; Nicholas Maniscalco, Magdalena Barthel, Billy Barthel, Michael Maniscalco, Damien Maniscalco and Gianna Malafronte. Grace loved being around family and taking care of people. She was a loyal friend, wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed vacations with her family, making Sunday sauce, playing Pinochle, planning celebrations, and dancing and listening to music. Mimi’s effortless smile will be missed by all. Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 9 – 10:30 A.M. at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Her funeral procession will then leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for an 11 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery in East Haven.
