Joseph Sargent, 79, of East Haven passed away August 28, 2023 at Branford Hills. He was born May 28, 1944 in Waterbury to Andrew and Hattie (Sierakowska) Sargent. Joseph is survived by his loving and dedicated wife, Lynn (Bassetti) Sargent and two children, John Sargent (Jackie) of East Haven and Gail Brown (Sean) of East Haven. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Mario Sargent, Lilliana Sargent, Joseph Cerrone and Stephen Cerrone, a sister, Mary Smith (Robert) of Utah and a niece, Stacey Scott (Randy).
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents and a nephew, Bobby Smith.
Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a graveside service with full US Army Military Honors at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, September 1, 2023 in East Lawn Cemetery, 58 River Street, East Haven (Please go directly to the cemetery). All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
