Obituary of Patrick Sessa Jr.

Patrick Anthony Sessa Jr., 43, of East Haven passed away January 13, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born January 30, 1980 in New Haven to Patrick Sessa Sr. and Cynthia Giordano. Patrick is survived by his loving mother, Cynthia Giordano of New Haven and his step-father, Barry Wilke, maternal grandfather, Dominic Giordano (companion, Joanne Hill) of Branford, aunt Charlene Giordano of East Haven, aunt Margaret “Maggie” Sessa (Thomas Schilling) of Meriden, aunt Kathy Mallory (Robert) of East Haven, uncle William Sessa (Pam) of East Haven and several cousins. Patrick is preceded in death by his father, siblings, Dominic Sessa and Patrice Sessa and companion dog, “Boo Bear.” Patrick was a man of many talents. He graduated from East Haven High School and then went to Porter and Chester for network trading and later enrolled in Southern CT State College. He used his computer skills to the max, building computers, meeting people around the world through social media and informing himself with the information and knowledge that would help him with his many life challenges. Patrick was very adventurous, driving cross country by himself and every summer he would live in Wildwood NJ. While in Wildwood he was a Tram Operator and their assistant manager. Patrick’s dog was part wolf and the two of them were inseparable. He had gourmet taste and tried many different dishes but always came back to a good red sauce and macaroni. In his quiet way he dealt with life difficulties. When asked how he mastered his environment, he would say “I have my ways.” The last five years were very challenging but he would not be stopped. He created great art works with his markers, called “Bingo” like a Vegas professional. He spent time playing cards and winning with his strategy and loving life. He loved his family fiercely, which included the staff of Yale New Haven Hospital, especially the 5-7 crew. Thank you for taking care of our sweet boy! We will always remember the love and compassion you showed him while taking care of him. THANK YOU! Family will receive friends Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 4 PM until the time of service at 6 PM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be at a later date in East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
