Anna Jane (Acampora) Buccetti, 95 of North Haven, passed away on April 23, 2024 in Hamden Connecticut. Anna was the wife of the late Anthony “Duke” Buccetti (1991) and mother of seven children: Anthony Buccetti (Toni) of East Haven, Mary-Anne Marchetti (Augustus) of Branford, Michael Buccetti of Wallingford, Peter Buccetti (Roy Mazzacane) of Hamden, Paul Buccetti of North Haven, John Buccetti (Lori) of Wallingford and Anna Salvati (Anthony) of Cheshire. She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Arlene Buccetti and by all her brothers and sisters, Pasquale (Marion) Acampora, Filomena (Frank) Kuszpa, Gaetano George (Barbara) Acampora and Lawrence (Rosemary) Acampora Jr., as well has her dear lifelong friend Marie (Pasquarella) Nelson. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Thomas Marchetti, David Marchetti, Michael Buccetti, Tyler Buccetti, Jenna Buccetti, Anthony Salvati, Joseph Salvati, Sarah Salvati and Emily Brown, as well as great-grandchildren: Declan Marchetti, Finn Marchetti, Fiona Marchetti, Liliana Marchetti, Tyler Marchetti, Nathan Buccetti, Hazel Brown, Olyvia Brown and Malcolm Salvati. She also leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, godchildren and her dear friend Beverly Tullock of Wallingford. Anna was born in New Haven, Connecticut on May 7, 1928 to Lorenzo and Rosa (Milone) Acampora. She attended public schools in New Haven, graduating from Commercial High School in 1946. She began her career as a secretary at the Frederick W. Alling Agency during high school. She was an early adopter of “Work from Home” when her first son was born and continued in her role for over 40 years of dedicated service from her living room. Anna lived in New Haven for most of her life, having moved to North Haven in 2007 and then most recently to Hamden Health Care Center for the past two years. At various times in her life Anna was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church – New Haven, St. Vincent de Paul Church – East Haven and St. Barnabas Church – North Haven. Family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2024 from 10 A.M. until 12 P.M. (NOON) at the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven at which time her funeral procession will leave Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home for a 12:30 PM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 in memory of Anna Buccetti.
