In New Haven, Jan. 4,2011, Francis C. " Chuck " Wilson, 72, of Dodge Ave., East Haven. Beloved husband of Aura Gardner Wilson. Father of Derek S. Wilson of Milford, Amy E. Wilson of Branford and Sara J. ( John ) Perez of East Hampton. Step grandfather of Stephanie Perez of Manchester. Brother of E. Richard ( Robin ) Wilson of North Haven, Barbara Costenbader of NJ and Dr. Marjorie ( James ) Wilson - Burton. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and his grand dogs Nikkie and Dempsey. Born April 23,1938 in New Haven a son of the late Clifford and Emily Garde Wilson, he was a graduate of East Haven High School, class of 1956 and had attended New Haven College. Mr. Wilson was employed as a water quality technician for the Regional Water Authority for over fifty one years and was co-owner of Wilson Furniture Store in Wallingford. He was an avid dart player, playing in several area leagues and enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Boston Red Sox. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven Saturday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10.00. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5 - 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
