Obituary of Vera A. Waronka

Vera Akowchek Waronka, 94, of Killingworth,and former longtime resident of Madison and Orange, passed away in Madison,Jan.31,2011.Beloved wife of the late Stanley C. Waronka. Mother of the late Natalia E. Moseley. Grandmother of Wendy Hopwood of Killingworth, Justin Moseley of Webster,MA and Susanne Buess of Madison. Great grandmother of Hannah Buess, Cooper Buess and Gracie Hopwood. Sister of Ann Sharog of West Haven, Alyce Jones of Madison and the late Richard Akowchek and Natalia Akowchek. Born Sept. 27,1916 in New Haven, daughter of the late Alexander and Olga Dolgashay Akowchek. Vera graduated from Hillhouse High School and had attended Larson Junior College. Vera was an avid gardener and was a long standing member of the Orange Garden Club. Funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will follow in Orange Center Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5 - 8 pm.
