At his home February 12, 2011, after a long courageous battle, Carmen J. Russo, 80 of Sorrento Ave., East Haven. Beloved husband of Mary Louise (LaFlamme) Russo. Loving father of Martin J. Russo of Wallingford, Maureen Marini of East Haven and Cheryl Zukowski of Maryland, brother of John Russo of Guilford, Edward Russo of Florida, and Loretta Shanley of East Haven. Also survived by his cherished grandchildren Robert, Alicia and Erica Marini, Christopher, Madison, and Zachary Russo, R.J. and Carissa Zukowski. Predeceased by a brother Bernard Russo, Jr. Carmen was born in Pittston, PA August 25, 1930, son of the late Bernard and Mary (Bombera) Russo. Prior to his retirement, he worked for Metro-North Railroad as a machinist. Funeral from Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Wednesday at 8:30am. Mass of Christian Burial at 9 am in St. Clare Church. Burial in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8 pm.
