Obituary of Mary Esposito

In New Haven, March 18,2011, Mary Scalabrin Esposito, 98, of East Haven. Beloved wife of the late Ben Esposito. Survived by two wonderful nephews and nieces, John Dennis DaRe and wife Patricia and Donald DaRe and wife Barbara. Also survived by four grand nieces and nephews and six great grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving sister Ancilla DaRe. Born Aug. 13,1912 in the province of Vincenza, Italy, a daughter of the late Antonio and Anna Eberle Scalabrin, she emigrated to the United States in 1920 and graduated from Hillhouse High School in 1930. She worked for thirty four years in the accounting dept. of Berger Brothers Co. During vacations from work Mary enjoyed traveling. She visited Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France and also spent time in California and Hawaii. Mary and Ben lived in Spring Hill FL for twenty years but enjoyed summers in East Haven. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Tuesday morning at 10:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 11:00. Burial will follow in the family plot in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:00-10:30.
