In New Haven, April 2,2011, Patricia A. McKiernan, 78, of Rice Terrace,Branford. Sister of Joan Jarmie and husband Joseph of Branford and the late Jacqueline McKiernan Hallissey, Margaret McKiernan and John M. McKiernan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born Dec. 8,1932 in New Haven a daughter of the late John P. and Margaret Lawlor McKiernan, she was a graduate of the Yale School of Nursing and worked for many years as an LPN in area hospitals and nursing homes. She was a faithful communicant of St. Mary Church in Branford. Patricia was a giving person who alway put the needs of others before her own and spent much of her time caring for other people.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 9:00 in St. Mary Church, Branford, Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
