Obituary of Robert F. Lynn

Robert Francis Lynn, 84, of East Haven passed away peacefully on April 3,2011 with his family by his side. Husband for fifty two years of Beverly Menard Lynn. Father of Robert Thomas Lynn of Meriden, Deborah Lynn of Watertown, Frederick Lynn and wife Cynthia of Cromwell and Christopher Lynn and partner Michael Renzullo of Branford. Grandfather of Robert and Rebecca Lynn of Meriden and their mother Cecilia Trealor Lynn, Nicholas Morello, Emily and Alden Lynn, all of Cromwell and the late Jensen Lynn. Brother of Mildred Douglas of Branford, Joan Bennett of Rocky Hill, Dennis Lynn and wife Joanne of Cheshire and the late Frederick Edward Lynn. Brother in law of Maurice Menard of FL, Garrett Menard of Southington and the late Hank Douglas and Arthur Bennett. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born May 19,1926 in West Haven a son of the late Frederick Charles and Mildred Delaney Lynn, he was raised in West Haven and graduated from West Haven High School. Robert served with the US Navy at the Brooklyn Navy Yard during WWII. After the war he worked as a parts inspector at the Miller Co. of New Haven and then for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft of North Haven for over twenty five years until his retirement. He was a parishoner of St. Clare Roman Catholic Church in East haven. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Friday morning at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Clare Church at 9:00. Burial with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5 - 8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jensen's Fund, 8 Ranney St., Cromwell, CT 06416.
