Obituary of Rosemary W. Cote'

Rosemary Walsh Cote',82,of East Haven passed away July 23,2011 at CT Hospice,Branford with her beloved son by her side. Beloved wife of fifty two years of the late William O. Cote'. Beloved mother of Carol Ann Cote' of Clinton, Attorney William O. Cote' and his wife Sharon of East Haven and Kristine C. Shorkey and her husband Roy of East Haven. Beloved grandmother of Nathaniel Stephens and his wife Crystal of Higganum, Megan Stout and her husband Ryan of Bozeman,MT, Brittany Cote', William Cote', Oren Shorkey and his fiancee Alicia Marini and Evan Shorkey, all of East Haven. Beloved great grandmother of Riley Grace and Olivia Megan who were the light of her life. Sister of Carol McGowan of Manchester, Conrad Walsh of North Haven and the late Robert V. Walsh. Born Aug. 10, 1928 in New Haven a daughter of the late Robert V. and Carol Finer Walsh, she was a graduate of the former Commercial High School in New Haven. Before marring she worked for a time at the Telephone Co. but her true profession was homemaker and mother to her three children from which she never retired. A devout Catholic she was a communicant of St. Clare Church in East Haven and a member of the ladies guild of the church. She prayed her Rosary daily and was an avid crotchetier, gardener, and cook and loved to decorate her home. She was a best friend to everyone she met and her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will miss her immensely. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven, Tuesday morning at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Clare Church at 9:00. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery.
