In Hamden, July 30,2011, Philomena Romano Zawnerko, 85, of New Haven, formerly of West Virginia and Las Vegas,NV. Wife of the late Michael Zawnerko. Mother of Michael Zawnerko Jr. and wife Karen of East Haven. Grandmother of Michael Zawnerko III. Sister of Michael Romano of FL, Louis Romano of North Branford, Anthony Romano of FL, Adeline Giammettei of New Haven, Julia Pesapane of New Haven and the late John Romano. Also survived by a niece Patricia Lincoln of New Haven, her beloved friend Steven Perrone of Hamden and several other nieces and nephews.Born Oct.9,1925 in East Haven a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Massaro Romano.
Funeral service will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Friday morning from 9:30 until time of service.
