In East Haven, Sept. 14,2011, Lois McCarter Boschen, 79, of Strong St.,East Haven. Wife of Robert Boschen. Mother of Karen Maselli and husband George of East Haven and Michael Verdi of New Haven. Grandmother of Jennifer and George Maselli. Sister of the late David McCarter. Born Dec. 21,1931 in New Haven a daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret Holland McCarter, she was a graduate of Hillhouse High School and was employed for over thirty five years as an X-ray clerk at the Hospital of St. Raphael. Lois was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompeii Church in East Haven.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 9:30 in Our Lady of Pompeii Church.Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice,100 Double Beach Rd., Branford,CT 06405 or to the Smilow Cancer Hospital, PO Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508-1849. Arrangements are with the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
