Obituary of Ellen B. Benson

In CT. Hospice, Oct.25,2011, Ellen Benzino Benson, 83, of David Dr., East Haven. Survived by her loving sister Eugenia Fucci of Branford whom Ellen was blessed to have by her side her entire life. Also survived by her two sons, Carl A. Benson of Clinton and Greg B.(Kate)Benson of Branford, four grandchildren,Christopher(Miles)Benson,Gregory Benson,Nathaniel Benson and Penelope Benson and by her many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. She was predeceased by a grandson Ryan Benson. Born July 18,1928 in Buffalo,NY a daughter of the late Eugene and Marie Blake Benzino, she was employed for a time as an office worker for Wonder Bread and then worked for many years as a cost forcaster with Kurt H.Volk Printing Co. Ellen took great joy from making herself available to help her family and friends whenever they needed her. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompeii Church in East Haven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 9:30 in Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Burial will follow in Bare Plain Cemetery,North Branford. There are no calling hours.
