At Home,Nov.11,2011,Joan Duffy Anderson,75,of Willow Rd.,East Haven. Wife of the late Richard E. Anderson. Mother of Richard E.(Sue) Anderson Jr.of North Branford,Scott Anderson of East Haven,Peggy Esposito of East Haven and Elizabeth(Brian)Pisano of Seymour. Mother in law of Mark Mirabella of East Haven. Grandmother of Jacqueline Esposito,Jon(Julie)Anderson,Holly Mirabella,Mark Mirabella Jr and Katherine Joan Mirabella. Sister of George Duffy of Meriden and Patricia Duffy of New Haven.Born June 13,1936 in Waterbury a daughter of the late George and Margaret Murphy Duffy, she had been employed for several years as Welfare Director for the Town of East Haven and then was the owner of Baby Bears Childrens Consignment Shop in North Branford. At one time Joan was very involved and active with the Republican Party and had been a Red Cross volunteer.
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven,Wednesday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 9:30. Burial will follow in Grove Street Cemetery,New Haven. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8pm.
