Obituary of William Delegorges

In New Haven,November 27,2011,with his family at his side, William Delegorges,77, of East Haven. Beloved husband of Cecile Palmisano Delegorges. Loving father of Kristina(Scott)Sweitzer of Madison, Wendi(David)Oranzo of Branford and Diane(Joseph)Arcangelo of Meriden. Step father of Renee Hile Signore of Guilford and Jennifer(Steven) D'Angelis of Durham. Cherished grandfather of Olivia,Scottie, Shane,Sophia and Seth Sweitzer ,Cameron Oranzo,Joey Nicole and Mady Rose Arcangelo,Raya and Emma Signore and Lauren and Juliana D'Angelis. Brother of Theodora"Babe"(Peter) Klarides of Seymour and the late George Delegorges. Also survived by two nieces. Born Oct.12,1934 in New Haven a son of the late Nicholas and Olga Velejelos Delegorges, he was a graduate of West Haven High School and the CT School of Electronics. He served with the US Navy and was employed for many years by MITE Corp. as a field technician. After his retirement from MITE he worked for a time at J.Press Co.. William was a skilled handyman who loved to do odd jobs for family and friends. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven, Thursday morning at 9:30. Mass in St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church,480 Racebrook Rd.,Orange at 10:00. Burial will follow with military honors in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8pm.
