In New Haven,Feb.8,2012,Dorothy Ann Philbrick Scinto,81,of New Haven. Beloved wife of the late Arthur V. Scinto. Loving mother of Jean(Kevin)Powers of New Haven,Patricia(Paul)Piscitello of Branford,Barbara(James)Ginger of New Haven,Ronnie(Rose)Scinto of East Haven and the late Lawrence Philbrick. Grandmother of Stacy(Michael)Wuchek,Sean (Kristine Fiorillo ) Philbrick,JaneenPowers,Lucia Piscitello,Nina(Anthony)Goraieb,Paul(Cynthia) Piscitello Jr.,Chellsey Scinto,Jaclyn Scinto,Tabitha Ginger and Cordel Ginger. Great grandmother of Shelby,Jason,Kyle and Paul III.Sister of the late Pauline Pochlopek and and infant brother. Also survived by a daughter in law Sandi Petrulis and her best friend Julia Papuga.
Born Dec.20,1930 in S.Berwick,ME, a daughter of the late Maurice Philbrick and Ethel Hoyt Philbrick Schindler, she had been employed as a machine operator for over thirty years at Pratt-Whitney Corp., was a longtime member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in New Haven where she was a Deaconess of the church and was a member of the Pilgrim Hooker Knitting Club. She was an avid Red Sox fan, loved Bingo and trips to the casino and was a lover of all animals,especially her cat Crystal.
Funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in Pilgrim Congregational Church,New Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
