Obituary of Frances C. Winston

In Wallingford,March 4,2012,Frances Condon Winston,95, of East Haven. Wife of the late Frederick J. Winston. Mother of Frederick M. Winston and David H. Winston,both of East Haven,Elizabeth W. Kallenbach of Plainville and the late Patrick Burke. Grandmother of Michael,Jeffrey,Amy,Erin and James. Also survived by six great grandchildren,several nieces and nephews and Patrick's wife Karen Burke of Peabody,MA.She was predeceased by sisters Elizabeth C. Halloran and Anne Condon Burke and brothers William Condon and Dermot Condon. Born April 11,1916 in Hartford a daughter of the late Maurice and Elizabeth Nolan Condon, she graduated from high school in Hartford and was employed for many years as a secretary at the CT Experimental Agricultural Station in Hamden. She had lived in East Haven for over fifty four years and was a member of the the Women's Emblem Club at the Branford Elks Club#1939. Frances enjoyed her family and friends and was a great singer of songs. She loved to travel to places like Hawaii,Las Vegas,Mexico and Ireland and visiting with her sister at Black Point Beach in Niantic. She also loved antiquing. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven, Thursday morning at 9:30.Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10:00. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
