At home,March 8,2012,Sheila L. Nelthropp Simmat,88, of East Haven. Wife of the late Philip Langhoff and Calvin E. Simmat. Mother of the late Philip Langhoff Jr. Sister of Marilyn Goodrich of AZ,Angela Ewer of Branford,Joan Haversat of Guilford and the late Raymond L. Nelthropp. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born Sept.20,1923 in St. Croix,Virgin Islands, a daughter of the late Louis and Carmelite Behagen Nelthropp, she was educated in St. Croix and worked for a time at A.C. Gilbert and then worked for many years for Edal's Manufacturing, retiring as a supervisor.
Funeral service will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in the Old Stone Church,East Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call at the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven, Sunday from 5-7pm.
