In New Haven, March 19, 2012, Geraldine F. Gilhuly O'Brien, 82, of North Haven. Wife of the late Maurice J. O'Brien. Sister of Benjamin(Josephine)Gilhuly of East Haven,John"Jack"Gilhuly of North Haven, Patricia Roche of Woodbridge,Elizabeth"Betty"Foley of Middletown and the late Catherine Chapin, Joseph Gilhuly and George Gilhuly.Also survived by many nieces,nephews,great nieces and great nephews who loved her dearly.
Born June 6, 1929 in New Haven a daughter of the late Benjamin and Christine Reilly Gilhuly, she was a graduate of the former Commercial High School in New Haven and was employed by SNET for twenty five years as a business office supervisor. She was a longtime communicant of St. Therese Church in North Haven and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the Elks Club in Wallingford.
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Friday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Therese Church at 9:30. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
