Thomas Joseph Melillo, beloved son of Mary Powell Melillo and the late Joseph Melillo passed away Monday April 9, 2012 at his home in New Haven, CT. Thomas was born in New Haven, CT on December 20, 1951 and was a resident of East Haven, CT until 1991. Since that time he has been a resident of Knollwood House a group home facility of Marrakech Inc. Tommy enjoyed a happy fulfilling life with his fellow residents through the dedicated, compassionate, loving and caring support of the Knollwood House staff. Tommy enjoyed visits with his mother, good food, good western movies, and of course his beloved watch collection. Tommy will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Besides his mother he leaves his sister Lisa Melillo of Milford, CT, aunts, uncles and several cousins in CT, and Mississippi.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 11 in the Clancy Funeral Home 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven,CT. Interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday morning prior to the service from 10. Memorial contributions may be made to Marrakech Inc., Six Lunar Dr., Woodbridge, CT 06525.
