In CT Hospice,May,8,2012, Jennie Vergati DaCato,84, of East Haven, formerly of New Haven. Wife of the late James V. DaCato. Mother of Frank(Sandra) DaCato of East Haven. Grandmother of Victoria DaCato and fiancee Jeffrey Magin of Clinton and Valerie Wicke and husband Christopher of Newington. Sister of Catherine Bartiromo,Phyllis (Alfred)Cognato,and Salvatore(Anita)Vergati,all of Branford, Pauline(Peter)Sparano,Vincenza Vergati,Dolores Vergati and John Vergati,all of East Haven.Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born Feb.1,1928 in New Haven a daughter of the late Salvatore and Alessandrina Eligio Vergati, she had been employed by Echlin Manufacturing until her retirement in 1993.Her family was her main concern in life,especialy her beloved grandchildren.
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven, Friday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10:00. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice,100 Double Beach Rd.,Branford,CT 06405.
