In New Haven,May 14,2012,Rosemary Dowd Grestini,67,of Parker Place,New Haven. Beloved wife of John E. Grestini. Mother of Gina Giuliano and fiancee Michael Alevy of New Haven,Tonia J. Speringo and husband Louis of East Haven and John Grestini Jr. of New Haven.Grandmother of Tabitha Giuliano,Tianna and Sophia Speringo and Alexandrea and Giavanna Grestini. Sister of Gerald Dowd of Milford,Patricia Proto of East Haven,Rosalind Leindorf of West Haven,Regina Helland of New Haven,Gabriel Esposito of Guilford,Andrea Greenberg of Fairbanks,Alaska and the late Ann Baker. Also survived by her father in law Nazzareno Grestini of Hamden and many nieces and nephews. Born June 18,1944 in New Haven a daughter of the late Gerald and Mary DeLucia Dowd, Rosemary was an accomplished self taught piano player and was a very proud Army wife. She will long be remembered as a person who always kept a promise.
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven,Friday morning at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church at 9:00. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.
