In New Haven,May 15,2012,Constance S. Peters Scholefield,90, of East Haven. Wife of William Scholefield. Mother of David Scholefield of TX. Sister of Barbara Going of Maine and Arthur(Nancy)Peters of Guilford. Born March 26,1922 in New Haven a daughter of the late Theodore G. and Catherine Peters, she was raised in East Haven and was a 1940 graduate of East Haven High School. She then attended the Gregg Secretarial School and went to work as a bookkeeper at Chestnut Hill Apts. in Hamden. She later worked in the payroll dept. at Winchester Repeating Arms and several other area companies. Connie loved gardening and was a member of the Branford Garden Club. She was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii Church in East Haven and a member of the Branford Elks Lodge and she was a past president of the Hamden Elks Emblem Club.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 in Our Lady of Pompeii Church,East Haven. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday morning at the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven from 8:30-9:00.
