Joseph R. Sammarco, age 63, of Stamford, CT and formerly of Mt. Kisco, NY died peacefully at home on May 20, 2012.
A beautiful, loving and caring man full of spirit, Joe was loved by many across all walks of life. Joe leaves behind his son, Justin, daughter in-law Melissa, and grandson, Vincent of California; and two brothers, John and Louis, and sister in-law Judy, of Florida. Joe also leaves his dear, long-time friend, Arlene McCoy.
Joseph was the son of the late Enriquo M.and Santina R.Ceasario Sammarco who immigrated from San Fils, Italy and resided in Mt. Kisco, NY. Joseph graduated from Fox Lane High School in Mt. Kisco and Ft. Lauderdale University.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning at 10:00 in St. Vincent de Paul Church,80 Taylor Ave. East Haven,CT. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery,North Haven. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Smilow Cancer Hospital,PO Box 1849,New Haven,CT 06508-1849.
