William E. "Willie Shoes" Faugno, Jr. Born in New Haven December 12, 1926 to the late William E. and Elizabeth Fusco Faugno, Jr. He is survived by his wife Eva Zorbini Faugno and his daughter Judith Ann Sekscenski and son in law Bill Sekscenski of Port St. Lucie, FL. William left East Haven High School during WWII, forging the date on his birth certificate to serve his country in the U.S. Navy. During that time he was awarded the American Theatre, Asiatic Pacific, European Theatre and Victory Medals. He was a member of the Destroyer Escort Sailors Association. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in New Haven after 40 years of service. William always went above and beyond to help family members and friends who were in need. He did so unselfishly and never hesitated. Everyone who knew him, knew they could turn to him for help. He enjoyed attending horse races at tracks in New York and Florida and professional football. Sincere thanks to Patricia Prota for her support and love to William and his family during his final days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:15 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, East Haven. Burial with military honors in All Saints Cemetery,North Haven.
