In Wallingford,July 3,2012,Lucy Rose Magistro Guido,92,a lifelong East Haven resident. Wife of the late Louis Guido. Beloved mother of Louis J.Guido and wife Sharon of Budd Lake,NJ and Jack A. Guido of North Branford.Grandmother of Louis,Kimberly,Diana and John Guido. Sister of Mary DeStefano of New Haven,James Magistro of New Jersey,Nicholas Magistro of New Hampshire,John Magistro of New Haven and the late Joseph Magistro.Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born Jan.9,1920 in New Haven a daughter of the late Guissepi and Assunta Paldo Magistro, she had been employed for many years as a waitress at the former Park Plaza Hotel in New Haven. She was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in East Haven and a devoted supporter of the Monastery of the Glorious Cross in Branford.
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven, Saturday morning at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Chutch at 10:00. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30. Memorial contributions may be made to the Monastery of the Glorious Cross,61 Burban Dr.,Branford,CT 06405.
