Obituary of Warren W. Schatzlein

Please share a memory of Warren to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On October 17, 2012 Warren Will Schatzlein joined his beloved wife Elizabeth in Heaven. Born May 14, 1930 in New Haven, a son of the late James C.and Irma Jillson Schatzlein, he was a graduate of East Haven High School, and had been employed for many years as an operations manager at the former New Haven Manufacturing Company. Warren built their home in East Haven where they settled and raised five children. His devotion to and love of Elizabeth was evident in his constant, unselfish care of her during her later years. A strong- willed man Warren was never afraid to show love for his family in his own subtle ways and his strength and continued unselfishness was still evident as he made his last days bearable for his loved ones. He enjoyed contrasting hobbies; one the quiet of the lake in his fishing boat always hoping to catch that big one, and two, the hustle and bustle of the gymnasium as he watched countless basketball games and other sporting events. He will be greatly missed by his five children and their families; Maureen and Denis Frappier, Craig and Betsy Schatzlein, Kathryn and Thomas Hinckley, Scott and Constance Schatzlein, and Lee and Donna Schatzlein. He also leaves ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Brother of Robert and Jacqueline Schatzlein, brother-in-law of Edmund and Gail Henry, John and Linda Henry and Michael and Roberta (Toby) Montesanto. We take comfort knowing that he will be watching over all of us with mom by his side. Special thanks to his caregiver, Elaine for her special loving, dedicated care and Jenna his hospice nurse. Funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in the Clancy Funeral Home 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT. Hospice 100 Double Beach Rd, Branford, Ct, 06405.
