Obituary of Warren L. Locke

In New Haven,Oct.22,2012, Warren L. Locke,91,of Branford. Beloved husband for sixty four years of June Smith Locke. Father of Susan Locke Lynk of Bridgeport,and Bonnie Locke Taylor and husband Jerry of East Haven. Grandfather of Stacey Anyzeski,Christopher Taylor and wife Jennifer,Ryan Taylor and Adam Taylor. Great grandfather of Brandon Taylor. Brother of Eunice Locke Hahn of Hamden and the late Mary Smith Szirbik,Virginia Maturo and Stanley,Raymond,Ernest and Robert Locke. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Born March 3,1921 in New Haven a son of the late Joseph and Edith Spencer Locke, he proudley served our country in the US Army from March 1941-June 1945 and was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Warren retired after working thirty two years with the Southern CT Gas Co. as a mechanic. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and loved traveling and enjoyed horses. Funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 in the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven. Burial with military honors will follow in Methodist Cemetery,Bethany. Friends may call Friday from 5-8pm.
