In New Haven, November 8, 2012, Roberta C. "Cathy" Watts, 90, of North High Street, East Haven. Beloved mother of Robert H. Watts of Budapest, Hungary, Charles Michael Watts of Branford and Karyl W. Watts of Bound Brook, N.J. Grandmother of Charissa Andrade, Leah Gionfriddo and Steven Watts. Sister of Rosemarie Naples of Durham. Also survived by six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Watts, and her mother and step father, Dorthea DeVercelly Forbes and Karyl Forbes. Born June 6, 1922 in New York City, she graduated from Central High School in Purdy Station, New York. She later moved to East Haven where she resided for more than 50 years. She was employed by Sikorsky Aircraft and then worked for 19 years as an assistant town clerk in East Haven. Earlier this year, she was officially named a historian for the Town of East Haven. She had also served as treasurer of the East Haven Municipal Employees Credit Union, had been appointed to the Old Cemetery Board, and was a member of the East Haven Garden Club and Christ and the Epiphany Church. Funeral service will be held Monday, November 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ and the Epiphany Church, East Haven. Interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
