Obituary of Peter H. Gagliardi

In New Haven, Nov.20, 2012, Peter H. Gagliardi, 92, of Prospect Ave., New Haven. Beloved husband of Clare Pergamalis Gagliardi. Father of Robert T. (Nilda) Gagliardi of Branford, Peter W. Gagliardi of New Haven and the late Karen Malick. Grandfather of Robert J. Gagliardi, Cynthia Gagliardi, David Malick and Diane Malick. Father in law of John Malick of Branford. Brother of Michael Gagliardi of East Haven, Vincent Gagliardi of New Haven, Mary Solevo of East Haven ,Eugene Gagliardi of Branford and the late Alfred,Anthony,Joseph,Ralph and Edward Gagliardi, Margaret Formichella and Julia Funaro. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born Dec.15, 1919 in New Haven a son of the late Antonio and Josephine Scandone Gagliardi, he was a graduate of Hillhouse High School and attended DeForest Training School, now DeVry University, graduating in 1940 with a degree in Radio, Sound and Television. Peter served with the US Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theater Operations. He was the owner and operator of the former Gag’s State Street Luncheonette and Gag’s Club LaMasque, both in New Haven Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven, Saturday morning at 8:30. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church,East Haven at 9:00. Burial will follow in St.Agnes Cemetery, Branford. Friends may call Friday from 4-6pm.
