Of East Haven on November 22, 95 years old. Husband of the late beloved Dorothy MacKenzie Creamer. Father of Robert J Jr and Father-in-law of Anne Mack Creamer of Cambridge, MA. Son of the late Henry J and Emily (Bowden) Creamer. Bob moved to East Haven in 1921 and was one of the original first grade students at the opening of Momauguin School. A 1935 graduate of Hillhouse High School, Bob was a Senior Design Engineer when he retired from Winchester-Olin in 1975 after 40 years of service. He operated his own design and drafting firm until 2010, providing drawings for Mathewson Tool Company of Orange and G & O Radiator Corporation of New Haven, among others. In 1975, together with then Mayor Frank Messina the Assessor,Bob drew the original Assessor's Property Maps for East Haven. He maintained the maps for East Haven until 2010. During the late 1930s and early 40s, Bob worked as a ticket taker and assistant manager at the Capital Theater in East Haven. Bob served in the Army during WWII, was a life member of the American Legion and the Harry R Bartlett Post 89. He was also a member of the Last Survivors Club. Together with his late wife, he was a member of the former Knights and Dames social club. Funeral service will be held in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Friday morning at 11 o'clock. Friends may call prior to the service from 9:30. Burial in East Lawn Cemetery.
