Obituary of Isabelle K. Beardsley

In New Haven, Dec.20,2012,Isabelle Kyle Beardsley,84,of Branford. Wife of the late John I. Beardsley. Mother of Doris(Pat)Gilkey of East Haven,Elizabeth(Rodney)Oppel of Branford and the late Linda Wright. Sister of David W.Kyle Jr. of East Haven and the late Charles Kyle. Also survived by six grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson Peter Wright. Born June 18,1928 in Port Bantyne Butte,Scotland a daughter of the late David W. and Marion Douglas Thomson Kyle, she came to this country when she was two years old. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational Church of Branford where she was a member of the Half Hour Reading Club, the Garden Club and taught Sunday School for many years. She was also a Girl Scout Leader for over twenty five years. Funeral service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 in the First Congregational Church of Branford. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven, Wednesday from 5-8pm.
