Marianne Mancini VanDerMaelen, 84, of East Haven,died peacefully on Dec.24,2012,at her home with her loving family by her side.She is predeceased by her parents,George F. and Mary Ellen Conroy Mancini,husband Gustave P. VanDerMaelen Jr.,a daughter Maureen L. VanDerMaelen and siblings Peg Sakonchick,Michael Mancini and George Mancini. She will be held forever in the hearts of her surviving family; daughters Kathleen M. VanDerMaelen of East Haven,Eileen A. VanDerMaelen of East Haven,Joan L.(Scott) Roberts of Cave Creek,AZ and Christine A.(Mark) Machala of Nipomo,CA, a son Gustave P. VanDerMaelen III of East Haven, sisters Phyllis Kaecher of North Haven and Lucille Flynn of East Haven, a brother Joseph Mancini of East Haven, five grandchildren, Jeffrey P.(Amber) VanDerMaelen,Christopher D. Roberts,Cameron"Max"Roberts,Mathew A. Machala and Grace M. Machala, two great grandchildren, Hailey R. VanDerMaelen and Riley P. VanDerMaelen and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, Jan 2, 2013 at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Interment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
