In New Haven,Jan.19,2013,Robert M.Norman,77,former Mayor of East Haven. Beloved husband of Donna Cusack Norman. Father of Robert M.Norman,Scott Norman and Beth Norman,all of Guilford,John D'Auria and wife Maryann of East Haven and Bryan D'Auria and wife Theresa of East Haven. Grandfather of Kiernan and Derek Norman and Amy,Morgan,Lainie Bryan and Samantha D'Auria. Brother of Barbara Rhone of North Haven and Sharon Proto of Hamden. Born June 10,1935 in New Haven a son of the late Frank M. and Mae Scattarella,he was a graduate of Hillhouse High School in New Haven. Robert was a newscaster and anchorman for over twenty years at Channel Eight News, was the former Mayor of the Town of East Haven serving from 1985-1991 and then was an assistant to the Commisioner for Veterans Affairs with the State of CT for nine years.
Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home,43 Kirkham Ave.,East Haven, Wednesday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 9:30. Burial will follow in East Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4-8pm.
