Obituary of Bridget Castellon

Bridget Pellegrino Castellon, 87 of Branford, formerly of East Haven, passed away January 31, 2013. She was born in New Haven on December 8, 1925. She is survived by her loving husband Ralph Castellon Sr. She was the daughter of the late Emanuel and Rose (Tuscano) Pellegrino. She was the beloved mother of Rosanne (John) Torniero of East Haven, Ralph (Rip) Castellon of East Haven, Lynn (Anthony) Gambardella of North Haven, grandchildren; Robert, Nicholas, and Carly Gambardella and Michael Torniero. Bridget is also survived by sisters, Dorothy Esposito of North Haven, Marie Esposito (Anthony) of Northford and brother, James (Buster) Pellegrino (Marilyn) of North Haven. She was predeceased in death by her brother Anthony (Red) Pellegrino. Bridget graduated from Commercial High and began her career at Yale University at Strathcona Hall. After starting her family she was employed by Joseph Doba Insurance of Branford. She then spent most of her career at CHCP in the billing office until her retirement in 1995. Nothing in life was more important to her than her family, especially her 4 loving grandchildren. Her family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Avantus Renal Therapy, as well as the devoted staff at YNHH Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Units. Funeral from the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 10 AM with committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
