Obituary of Frances M. Bailey

Frances M. Bailey “Bama”, 92, of East Haven passed away March 13, 2013. She was born February 8, 1921, in New Haven to John and Catherine (Farrell) Begina. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband of 50 years, Charles F. Bailey Jr., daughter, Doreen Kozlowski, and brothers, John Begina, Louis Begina and William Begina and sisters, Catherine “Vera” Begina and Anne Begina. She is survived by her beloved children, Karen Wade of East Haven and Charles F. Bailey III (Rosemary) of Marion, CT, grandchildren, Richard Wade (Wendy), Lindsay Evermore (Stephen), Charlie Bailey IV and Katie Bailey. Frances is also survived by three great grandchildren, Gibbs Wade, Marlowe Evermore and Thalia Evermore, son-in-law, Thomas Kozlowski, brother-in-law, Oliver Bailey, and numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She cherished her family and friends. She was a talented artist who enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, traveling with her husband, sewing, family picnics, and had fond childhood memories of East Rock. She was a member of Our Lady of Pompeii Parish and Ladies Guild, Knights and Dames Club and East Haven Women’s Club. Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 7:00 pm Friday, March 15, 2013, at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, CT. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Saturday for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in Our Lady of Pompeii Church, with committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
