Lucy J. McDermott of East Haven, passed away March 22, 2013. She is the daughter of Charles and Mary (Giglio) Costanzo. Lucy is preceded in death by parents, husband, Daniel F. McDermott, brothers, Anthony and John Costanzo and sisters, Helen Criscuolo and Ann Waselik. She is survived by four children; Kathleen (McDermott) Sweeney and her husband, George “Butch” Sweeney of Branford, Kenneth McDermott and his wife Susan (Hill) of N.Wales, PA, Kevin McDermott and his wife, Lisa (Marak) of East Haven, Michael McDermott and his wife, Suzanne (McDonald) of Guilford and grandchildren; Traci Lizondro and her husband, Gerald, Kim Sweeney and Chris Corarito, Brendan McDermott and his wife, Sandy, Meghan McDermott and her fiancé, Luke Puglia, Denny, Daniel and Caroline McDermott. Lucy is also survived by two great grandchildren, Benjamin and Samuel Lizondro, brother, Frank Costanzo and his wife, Rosemary of Hamden and a sister-in-law, Jenny Costanzo. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 26, from 9 to 10:30 AM at which time the funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven for a 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church, East Haven. Burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery.
