Roger M. Johnson, 56 of East Haven, passed away April 5, 2013. He was born April 30, 1956 in New Haven to Langdon and Rosalie (Gamberdalla) Johnson. He is preceded in death by father, son, Michael Day, sister, Annie Johnson and former wife, Amy Johnson. Roger is survived by mother, Rosalie, daughter, Thea Speranza (Alphonse) of Meriden, granddaughter, Rebecca Day, sister, Rosalie Cifarelli (John) of Hamden, brothers, Michael Johnson of Florida, Langdon Johnson Jr. of East Haven, Gregory Johnson (Lisa) of Southington. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Jessica Vollono (Christopher), Johnny Cifarelli, Brittney Cifarelli and Lanie Cifarelli, great-niece, Audrianna Vollono and great-nephews, Xander Johnson and Michael Perez. Roger was passionate about his family and aviation. He became a small engine pilot at the age of 16. Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church, East Haven on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private. Clancy Funeral Home, East Haven will be handling the services. Donations may be made to Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, www.ccfa.org in memory of Roger Johnson.
