William J. Tyler Sr., 75, retired NHPD, passed away May 27, 2013 at CT Hospice with his family by his side. He was born on April 28, 1938 in New Haven to William C. and Fanny (Mattia) Tyler. He is predeceased by his father, wife Madeline "Maggie" (Trudeau) and son, Timothy P. Tyler. William is survived by mother, children; Cheryl A. Tyler of Branford, William J. Tyler Jr. (Agnes) of Fall River, MA, Donna J. Tyler of Branford, Jeffrey J. Tyler (Mary-Beth Adams) of East Haven, grandchildren; Matthew J. , Kyle J., and Bree Nicole Pacileo, Chrystal and Steven Tyler, Alyssa Taddei, Jeffrey and Justin Tyler, great grandson; Tyler J. Pacileo. William is also survived by a sister, Janet Lampo of North Haven and several nieces and nephews. William was a retired NH Police Officer with over 18 years of service and later worked at the East Haven High School in the maintenance department. William was an avid Red Sox fan. Friends may call on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 3 PM until the time of service at 6 PM in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven Ct. Burial will be private at All Saints Cemetery.
