Josephine Simione, 90 of New Haven, passed away July 20, 2013. She was born December 31, 1922 in New Haven to Frank and Josephine (Disiena) Rubino. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, Angelo Simione, sisters, Rose Sicignano and Antoinette Vessicchio and a brother, Julius Rubino. Josephine is survived by daughter, Rosalie Petrowski (Frank) of East Haven and sister, Ann Bianco (Anthony) of East Haven. She is also survived by two sister-in-laws, Catherine Sabatino (Allen) of Milford and Jenny Simione of N. Haven. Josephine worked in the US Post Office until her husband returned from World War II and later was employed as a seamstress for Bonnie Lous in New Haven. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 8:30 AM until 9: 30 AM at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette Church, 385 Townsend Ave, New Haven. Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery.
