Anthony V. Laudicina, 90 of East Haven, passed away August 7, 2013 YNH Hospital. He was born June 22, 1923 in New Haven to Anthony and Vita (Benivegna) Laudicina. He is preceded in death by parents, wife of 59 years, Jennie (Lucibello) Laudicina. Anthony is survived by three loving children; Anthony Laudicina (Amy) of Moorestown, NJ, Joseph Laudicina of North Haven and Mariann Smith (widow of Thomas Smith) of East Haven; six grandchildren; Anthony Laudicina, Michael Laudicina, Robert Laudicina, Sherry Baker (Ryan), David Smith (Diane), Christina Smith, four great grandchildren; Ryan Thomas Baker, Tadan Christopher Baker, Andrew Scott Laudicina, Zachery Adam Laudicina and one brother; Sal Laudicina. Anthony loved to dance, gardening, spending time with his friends and participating in social activities, both in Connecticut and Florida. Anthony was most proud of his family; he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He instilled the values of family, hard work, honesty and integrity into all his children and grandchildren. Anthony retired from United Manufacturing Company in North Haven after 35 years of service. Family will receive friends from 8:30 to 9:30 AM on Monday, August 12, 2013 at The Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave, East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Church, East Haven. Committal to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Special Olympics Connecticut, 2666 State Street, Suite #1, Hamden, CT 06517 in memory of Anthony V. Laudicina.
