Michael “Mac” McCormick, 63 of East Haven and Westbrook, passed away September 11, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born March 17, 1950 in New Haven to the late Lester and Alyce (McClure) McCormick. Michael is survived by loving wife of 43 years, Joyce (Perrotti) McCormick and two sons; Brandon McCormick and his fiancé Ashley Scasino of East Haven and Shaun McCormick (Alexis) of Cape Coral, Fl. and one grandson, Luke McCormick. Michael is also survived by sister, Patricia McCormick of East Haven, sister-in-laws, Marlene Carolla (John) of Hamden and Susan Carmen (Bryan) of Texas, nieces; Michele Carolla, Kristen Piraneo (John), Nicole Carmen and Andrea McCormick and his companion and friend “Katie.” Mike was a former employee of Chatfield Paper North Haven and XPEDX Middletown. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave. East Haven. A memorial service will begin at 1:30 PM followed by military honors. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Diabetes Assoc., P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312 or American Heart Asso., 5 Brookside Dr.,Wallingford, CT 06492,in memory of Michael “Mac” McCormick.
