Joseph R. Morgillo, 72 of East Haven passed away on September 12, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. He is the son of Joseph and Rose (Nuzzo) Morgillo. He is preceded in death by parents, brother, Bud Morgillo and sisters, Sarafina Powers and Maria Raccaro. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Dorothy (Klotzberger) Morgillo and children; Dotty (Lane) Owens (Mark) of East Haven, Joanne DeVoe of West Haven, Joseph Morgillo (Diane Lopez) of East Haven, Lisa Barker (Bill) of East Haven. Joseph is also survived by ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Ben Raccaro and sister-in-law, Patsy Smith. He was a US Army veteran and retired diesel mechanic with over 28 years of service with New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, Penn Central, Conrail and Amtrak. Joseph liked simple things, he was a man who loved, honored and adored his family and friends. Family will receive friends today, Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, CT. Funeral service will be held on Sunday at 10:00 am inside the funeral home with burial to follow at Branford Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to American Diabetes Assoc., 2080 Silas Deane Hwy., 2nd floor, Rocky Hill, CT 06067 in memory of Joseph Morgillo.
