MaryAnn Perry, 82 of East Haven, passed away September 14, 2013 at home after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was the loving wife and best friend of the late Charles (Skip) Perry, Sr. She was born June 8, 1932 in New Haven to George and Helen Speers. She is preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Deidre McDade and a sister, Marilyn DelGobbo. MaryAnn is survived by four loving children; Charles Perry Jr. (Tina) of Branford, Karen McDade (Wes) of East Haven, Judy Perry of East Haven and Michael Perry Sr. (Karen) of East Haven. She is also survived by four grandchildren; Shawn McDade, Nicole Muoio (Fred), Michael Perry Jr., special grandson and best friend, Dylan Perry and great grandson Jacob McDade and her sister Martha Case of East Haven and her brothers, George Speers of Bridgeport, John Speers of Sarasota, Fla. and Robert Speers of Old Saybrook. MaryAnn worked for the Hospital of St. Raphael for many years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the following doctors who provided her with excellent medical care during her illness Dr. Lynne Hillis, Dr. Martin Katz and Dr. Antoine Ferneini Family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave. East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home at 10:30 AM for an 11 AM Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Committal to follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society Multiple Myeloma in memory of MaryAnn Perry.
