Arnold Stanio, 78 of East Haven, passed away September 27, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born January 23, 1935 in New Haven to Fred and Raffie (DeRosa) Stanio. He is preceded in death by parents and brothers, Donald and Fred Stanio. Arnold is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ardythe (Erwin) Stanio, son; Arnold Stanio of Las Vegas, four granddaughters; Arika, Emily, Rachelle and Sydney Stanio. Arnold is also survived by brothers; Raymond Stanio (Sylvia) of Enfield, Sal Stanio of New Haven, sisters; Terry Massaro of Arizona and Phyllis Phillips (Bob) of S.C. Arnold was a US Army veteran and worked with the Army Corp of Engineers. He retired after 47 years of service with Abbott Printing. He was a gifted craftsman; he enjoyed working around the house and in his garage.
Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at St. Clare Church, Coe Ave., East Haven. Burial to follow at East Lawn Cemetery
