Robert L. Badiali, 66 of New Haven passed away October 30, 2013 at his home in New Haven. He was born June 2, 1947 in New Haven to Enrico and Carmela (Lombardi) Badiali. He is preceded in death by parents, sister, Loraine Russo, brother, Jack Badiali and brother-in-law, Frederick Merola. Robert is survived by loving wife Patricia (Muratti) Badiali and his children; Eric Badiali of East Haven, Robert Badiali Jr. of Canada, grandson, Bryce Badiali and sister, Katherine Merola of N.Branford. Robert is also survived by step-children; Robert Brulotte of New Britain, Barbara Flynn (James) of East Haven, step-grandchildren; Amber Brulotte, Sal Damico and Jamie Brulotte. Robert was a US Army veteran of Vietnam and retired crane operator with over 25 years of service from the former New Haven Terminal. Robert served as past president of the International Longshoremen’s Assoc., Local #1398.
Family will receive friends from 9 to 11 AM on Saturday, November 2, 2013 in the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home at 11:15 AM for a 11:30 Mass of Christian Burial in St. Vincent de Paul Church, East Haven. Burial to follow at
All Saints Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers please make donations to a charity of your choice in memory of Robert Badiali.
