Paul Proulx, 73, of New Haven, passed away January 11, 2014 at CT Hospice. He was born August 25, 1940 in New Haven to Paul Sr. and Lucienne (Nadeau) Proulx. He is preceded in death by parents, sister, Florence “Frenchie” Durkin and brother, Ralph Proulx. Paul is survived by three daughters; Barbara Proulx (James Cirie) of Branford, Dyann Hathaway (Mark) of Westbrook, Paula Remmers (Greg) of Killingworth, grandchildren; Stephanie Proulx, Shawn, Stephan and Michael Hathaway. Paul is also survived by sister, Lucille “Tibby” Sibby of East Haven, brother, Donald Proulx (Barbara) of Ashford, CT and sister-in-law, Terry Proulx of New Haven. Paul was a US Navy veteran and US Navy Seabee for over 20 years. He was previously employed as an electrician with Cardco Electric and member of IBEW Local #90. Paul enjoyed traveling around the world; he took many riverboat excursions throughout Europe, Egypt, Russia and South America. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Church, East Haven. Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Wounded Warrior Project, 10150 Highland Manor Drive #330, Tampa, Florida 33610 in memory of Paul Proulx.
