Obituary of Marie C. Rascati

Marie C. Rascati, 94 of East Haven, passed away March 9, 2014 at CT Hospice in Branford. She was born April 29, 1919 in New Haven to the late John and Christine (DiAntonio) Pella. Marie is survived by a loving daughter with whom she lived, Frances Rascati of East Haven, sisters; Josephine Cipollini (widow of Ned Cipollini) of East Haven and Helen Cuddy (widow of Jerry Cuddy) of North Haven. Marie is also survived by niece; Christine Tompkins, nephews; Ned Cipollini (Arlene), John Cuddy (Lisa), Stephen Cuddy and Michael Cuddy. Marie retired from Nationwide Insurance Company with over 25 years of service. During her 94 years on earth, Marie was passionate about living. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, line dancing, playing pinochle with friends, cooking, eating, lounging at the beach and visiting senior centers; she loved to socialize with others. Marie liked to travel and take cruises; she has visited Italy, Austria, Hungary, Greece, Hawaii and a good part of the United States. While living her life, she always remained organized and kept a professional appearance. Family will receive friends from 9 to 10:30 AM on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven, CT. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home at 10:40 AM for a 11AM Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Pompeii Church, East Haven. Committal to follow at All Saints Mausoleum in North Haven. The Rascati family would like to thank CT Hospice and Our Lady of Pompeii for all their support and compassionate care.
