Antoinette “Nattie” DiVito, 89 of East Haven, passed away March 13, 2014 in New Haven. She was born March 5, 1925 in New Haven to Vincenzo “James” DiVito and Filomena (Scarpitti) DiVito. She is preceded in death by parents, sister, Adeline “Lily” Lonik and brother, Anthony DiVito. Nattie is survived by Sister Mary Anthony DiVito of Sisters of St. Joseph in West Hartford, three Loving nieces: Lorraine Franco (Donald) of Northford, Phyllis Hottin (Leonard) of East Haven, Angela Finelli(Saverio) of Madison. She is also survived by great nieces &nephews: Leonard, Erica, Ashley and Michael Hottin, Vincent, Frank and Anthony Finelli and sister-in-law, Georgeanna DiVito. She was employed at Robby Len Swimsuits for many years and spent her retirement years in East Haven, CT. She enjoyed cooking, baking cookies, playing and babysitting with her great nieces and nephews. Her enormous caring, wealth of selflessness and vibrant smile will be sorely missed by all of her family. She was an aspiring artist in her later years and painted several acrylic works. They were displayed at art shows in the East Haven Public Library,the East Haven Town Hall and in the homes of her relatives. Family will receive friends on Monday, March 17, 2014 at the Clancy Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven from 8:30 to 9:40 AM. Funeral procession will leave Clancy Funeral Home at 9:40 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Church, East Haven. Committal to follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Talmadge Park Health Care who served her every day with their loving touches and compassionate care.
